Beginning this month, JOEMC members have another option to pay their monthly bill…two remote payment kiosks.
Partnering with the Realo Drugstores (located at Gateway Shopping Center in Surf City and the Wal-mart Shopping Center on the southwest side of Jacksonville), the kiosks will accept payments by cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, or Discover Card during Realo’s business hours (hours vary from weekdays to weekends). An important thing to note is that the \machines do not return change; so if members make a payment in cash, any overpayment to an account will be applied as a credit to the account. Payments made at the kiosks are immediately applied to the account, just like they are when you make a payment in our office.
To make a payment at the kiosk you must have your account number which is located on the payment stub portion of the electric bill. Members can enter the account number on the touch screen or scan the payment stub for recognition. Then it’s as simple as following the prompts to make a payment with a card, check or cash. Payments of any amount will be accepted and you will receive a receipt at the end of the transaction.
“Our goal is to provide payment options that fit the schedules and needs of our members,” said Wanda Jones, Vice President of Commercial Operations. “We believe they will like the convenience of the kiosks and we plan to add additional units in other parts of our service area in the coming year.” If you have any questions about the new payment kiosks, please call the cooperative at (910) 353-1940 or (800) 682-1515.
JOEMC makes it easy for members to choose the payment option that is most convenient for them and their family. With seven different payment choices, members can set payments to be made automatically, pay online, choose to visit the office, pay by phone from the comfort of home, use one of the new payment kiosks, or put a stamp on it and mail it in. “We encourage our members to review the payment choices we offer to determine which option is best for them,” said Wanda Jones, Vice President of Commercial Operations. “We offer a variety of possibilities because we know that all of our members are different and we want to provide a wide array of services that best meets their needs and lifestyle.”
