Being mobile and “connected” is now part of our daily lives…we want to be able to access information wherever we are, any time, day or night. Jones-Onslow recognized this and introduced its new mobile web app to customers in November of last year (when we redesigned the desktop version of our web site). Don’t know what a mobile web app is or how you can use JOEMC’s new mobile web app to benefit you? Well, let us explain…

JOEMC’s mobile web app is a web application that runs directly through the internet browser of your smartphone. Getting started is quick and easy…simply open the browser on your smartphone and type in — you will be directed to the JOEMC site and can start accessing nearly all of the same information that is available on the desktop version of our web site. There’s no visiting the Apple App Store or Google Play Store…and there’s nothing that has to be downloaded to your smartphone.

The mobile web app gives you secure access to pay your bill right from your smartphone. It also provides a summary (or snapshot) of your account which includes your current balance, past due amount (if any), your due date, as well as the last payment made on your account and the date the payment was made. To pay your bill from the mobile web app, you must be a registered user of JOEMC’s online bill pay.

In addition to managing your electric account, the mobile web app let’s you view current power outages that are taking place and shows the number of customers that are affected.

You can sign up to start electric service using the mobile web app by simply downloading and then submitting a completed membership application form. And, if you’re moving from your current location, you can stop your electric service by filling out an online form.

Through a “MENU” button (located in the upper right) additional information can be accessed including the latest cooperative news, energy efficiency tips, details about youth programs, office locations, and contact phone numbers and emails.
