Power of Community: Raquel Painter

Raquel's Story

JOEMC members are doing great things, and the co-op’s Power of Community is showcasing outstanding neighbors working to make the community even better every day.

Our community is full of outstanding people doing extraordinary things. This month’s Power of Community member is no exemption; Racquel Painter is a woman on a mission. Sgt. Major Painter has served our country for over 26 years in the United States Marine Corps, retired, and began a career in community service. She can be found leading the charge for community programs at the United Way, but you may not have known she is the chairperson for the Onslow County Veterans POWWOW. Painter is a warrior with a spirit of an eagle soaring to celebrate our military service members. Thank you for your service Sgt. Major Painter and for your leadership in our community. We honor all veterans today and every day. PEOPLE FOCUSED. COMMUNITY DRIVEN. That’s Our Co-op!
