The Co-op Connections Card is a free program that saves Jones-Onslow members money on everyday expenses. The card also gives you access to Cash Back Mall, where you can get money back for shopping online at over 3,000 leading online retailers.

Your Co-op Connections Card gives you access to discounts from tens-of-thousands of retailers because it taps into a national business community. But it doesn’t just help you save at big box stores and chains; the card also provides discounts for businesses right here in our local community. In fact, it was created specifically to help businesses in the local communities…JOEMC has over 100 businesses in our service territory that are participating and the program is consistently adding new retailers to help improve our members’ experience. And don’t forget one of the most popular features—the prescription discount benefit. Even if you don’t have insurance, the card will help you save up to 85 percent on your medications at more than 60,000 pharmacies across the country.

We know how important it is to save and we want to make sure that you are taking full advantage of the programs we offer. The Co-op Connections card is an easy way to see the value of being an electric cooperative member. So don’t let the end-of-summer blues get you down. The Value of a Clean Air Filter

It’s been a hot summer and that means your air conditioning system has been working hard to keep you comfortable.

It only takes a couple of minutes to change the air filter in your heating/cooling system. It’s simple and easy and as has shown, changing your filter every month can save you up to $82 a year.

But that’s not all you can save. A dirty air filter makes your system work harder to keep you cool, which wastes energy. Changing your air filter regularly helps to ensure efficient operation and keep your electricity bill in check. In addition, a dirty air filter allows dust and dirt to build up in your system. Changing your air filter regularly can reduce the need for costly maintenance and prevent damage to your system.

And when winter arrives, it’s just as important to change your air filter regularly. Your heating system needs to work as efficiently as possible to keep you warm and a clean air filter helps it do just that.
