Youth Sport Scholarships

Middle School Students Have Scholarship Opportunity...

Jones-Onslow is once again providing scholarships that will send one young woman and one young man to basketball camp this summer (Kellie Harper Basketball Camp at N.C. State University and the Roy Williams Basketball Camp at UNC-Chapel Hill).

These scholarships are provided through Jones-Onslow and the North Carolina Association of Electric Cooperatives (NCAEC), the statewide organization that serves Jones-Onslow and the other electric cooperatives in the state. To be eligible, applicants must currently be enrolled in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grades.

The basketball camps offer the youth the opportunity to learn from some of the best instructors in the game. Participants will learn the importance of teamwork while refining their basketball skills.

Applications and more information have been sent to area middle schools. The winning applicants will be selected from an essay contest (all applications are due back to Jones-Onslow by March 30, 2013).
